What we cover
Twelve desks — from Finance to Environment — file around the clock. Our editors curate a morning brief of the five stories that matter, a live daytime feed, and a slower evening read for context and analysis.
How we work
Every story passes two editors and a fact-check before it publishes. Sources are named wherever safety allows; anonymous sourcing requires an editor's sign-off and a stated reason. When we get something wrong, we correct it visibly at the top of the story — our corrections log is public.
Our standards
- Two sources minimum for every contested claim.
- No pay-to-play coverage, ever. Advertising is labeled and separated.
- Corrections published visibly, with a public corrections log below.
Corrections
September 2026 — Launched topic filtering and story search across the whole archive.
August 2026 — Added the Dailyhawk Podcast with four weekly shows.
July 2026 — Opened our public corrections log and updated the ethics code.
Editorial Standards
We write in plain language: short sentences, human names before institutions, numbers with context. Headlines say what happened, not how to feel about it. Datelines carry the reporter's location; opinion is labeled and never mixed into news reports.
